Apple steals the tag of the “World’s largest Smartphone Manufacturer” from its rival Nokia finally. The Finland-based company has announced a loss of 368million euros in the second quarter of 2011, compared to a profit of 227million euros in the same period during the previous year.
Revenues also fell 7 per cent to 9.3billion euros.
Nokia sold 16.7 million units in the second quarter whereas Apple claim to sold 20 million units in the same quarter. And if experts are to be believed, Samsung will also surpass Nokia’ sales when it releases its revenues next week.
