Google today introduced a significant redesign for its social networking site Google+. The changes are very similar to Facebook Timeline.
The company announced in a blog post that they are introducing a more functional & flexible version of Google+ with a much easier and nicer design.
Some of the new features include bigger profile photos and easy navigation around the news stream and apps.
“By focusing on you, the people you care about, & the stuff you’re into, we are going to continue upgrading all the features you already know & love—from Search & Maps to Gmail & YouTube. With today’s foundational changes we can move even faster—toward a simpler and more beautiful Google.”Google senior vice president Vic Gundotra posted on Google’s Official Blog.
So, what do you think of this new design of Google+?
I liked it very much but will they ever be able to compete with Facebook?
Though Google announced that they have more than 170 million users on Google Plus but I’m pretty sure number of active users on Google+ are pretty low.
