Guide Wars 2, a follow up to the 2005 Massively Multiplayer online Role Playing Game(MMORPG) Guild Wars is set to release on Tuesday but users who pre-purchase the game before August 25 can play the game before the official release via access to its 3 day “Head Start” program.
Guild Wars 2 will cost you at least $59.99 (depending on the version), but there will be no monthly subscription bill unlike other major MMORPGs like World of Warcraft. You only have to pay for transactions in the game that players use to enhance the powers of their characters.
The game provides more dynamic combat system than what users are used to from games such as World of Warcraft, or Star Wars. Another great feature which has been included in the game is a personal story for your character, which depends upon the choices you make during the creation of the character & other quests.
System requirements for Guild Wars 2:
– Windows XP (SP 2 or more)
– Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz Processor
– Core i3, AMD Athlon 64 X2 or better
– 2GB RAM and 256MB of video RAM
– NVIDIA GeForce 7800, ATI Radeon X1800, Intel HD 3000 or better
– 25GB Hard Disk available space
– Fast Speed Internet connection
– Keyboard & mouse
Let’s see how much competition Guild Wars 2 can give it to the current king of the MMORPG world, World of Warcraft.
